Born in Mississippi and now based in New Jersey by way of Nashville, TN, Steve Forbert is truly a pioneering figure in folk and roots-rock as we know it today, with a career spanning more than four decades. He first broke through with the hit Romeo’s Tune and has since released over 20 studio albums, most recently Moving Through America, a continuation of his lifelong focus on songcraft and storytelling with a most unforgettable voice. A Grammy-nominated artist who has moved from New York’s CBGB scene to Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, Forbert remains a true road warrior, still touring roughly 100 days a year and keeping his work rooted in performance, traditional song writing, and story telling.
